About Us
Right now, the cancer research space faces major challenges. Researchers have a difficult time getting the samples they need to study the disease(s) they work with and many organizations do not collaborate or share their data and findings with one another, which negatively impacts progress. As a result, breakthroughs for many rare cancer patients are delayed, as many medical centers see too few rare cancer patients to begin with to observe patterns of the disease or connect patients to researchers.
This is why we do what we do. Pattern.org is a flexible platform bridging the gap between cancer patients and scientists. Pattern.org enables patients to directly donate their tissue, fluids and/or medical information to high-impact research projects. In this way, Pattern.org empowers patients to be directly involved in rare cancer research.
These samples help scientists to make lab-grown models, create sequencing and other critical datasets, and establish additional research assets to test new drugs and therapies. The data and findings that happen as a result of Pattern.org's donations will be made widely available.
The future (of) cancer treatment lies in making treatments specific to patients. To get there, patients and researchers need to join forces in (working to) understand the(se) disease(s). Pattern.org is building an ecosystem which brings stakeholders together, giving researchers the opportunity to identify paths to improve patient outcomes.
Pattern.org was launched by, the Rare Cancer Research Foundation (rcrf.org) a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to curing rare cancers through strategic investments and collaborations that catalyze effective research and accelerate deployment of promising therapies.
